Does everything happen for a reason?

Yes, and…

My relationship with Creator-Source is a “Yes, and…” relationship. Unity teaching, and my inner wisdom, informs me that I am the creator of my life experience. The ‘reason’ for anything happening is that we manifest the conditions in our lives that are in alignment with our thinking-feeling, human nature — whether we are aware of it or not. That’s Unity-lingo for “if you spot it, you got it.” We co-create that which is of our own vibrational match. So, is it fate, free will, or both/neither?

Free will is more than conscious choice (our unconquered unconsciousness is frequently steering the ship), and fate is a westernized misunderstanding of karma. There is no grand-puppeteer, and if we’re not doing the inner work, our unmet desires will consistently come up against barriers that our conscious mind does not understand. Yes, everything happens for a reason, and…it’s not usually the reason we think.
