What ‘single sentence’ on a gravestone would sum-up your life?
Holding the Highest
Toni King, Unity Minister, Unity Center of Reno
“She continues to hold the Highest for all God’s children.” From the depths of meditative contemplation, I am assured the mark I leave will be a reflection of my core belief: God is everywhere present – including in the minds, hearts, breath, and the hands and feet of all of us, equally. The Highest Truth of any of us is not what we think or feel, nor how we act. The Highest Truth of any one of us is the Divine Presence that unites us all as One.
No person, including ourselves, can know any one individual better than God. We are more powerful than we know. We are not the stories we tell or the unresolved pain we use to hurt others. We are strong, immense, beings of Love with infinite access to knowledge beyond our human understanding. But when you act “less-than”, I will always hold a higher Truth.

Lenten Series 2026: Release and Reimagine
Lent is more than a season of preparation for Easter—it is an invitation to transform ourselves. These weeks provide an opportunity to release thoughts that discourage us, habits that hinder us, and beliefs that keep our lives small.
But once we clear away what has been holding us back, how do we move toward our dreams? What uplifting thoughts or habits can we adopt? We can be anything we can imagine! Reimagine What Life Can Be
Rev. Toni King’s Lesson:
Radical Release
Jesus lived so that we may live life abundantly (John 10:10). But, “Sometimes we have to give up knowing the relative truth to know the Absolute Truth of God’s presence and power active in our lives and affairs.” — Rev. Matthew E. Long
Denial: I let go, releasing my preconceived notions of how things should be.
Affirmation: I place myself in the hands of Good Orderly Direction (GOD) and pray, “Thy will, not my will, thy will be done!”

Tuesdays, April 7 – 28th, 5:30 – 6:30pm
Meditation
Stephen Jacobs will be hosting a four-part meditation class at the Nevada Museum of Art, located in downtown Reno. This class is open to all levels, but is particularly helpful for anyone that may feel that they do not know how to meditate, or that their mind will never be able to settle down. On these four Tuesdays you will be taught a different technique each week, which you can then take home and use on your own.
